Alarm Response & Keyholding

Your staff never attend an alarm alone again

When your alarm activates at 3am, someone has to attend. Keyholding and alarm response means that someone is a trained officer rather than a member of your staff driving to a dark site with no idea what is waiting.

01

The Service

  • Secure key holding. Your keys are held in a controlled key safe, never labelled with your address or business name, and signed in and out on every movement.
  • Alarm activation response. On activation we attend within the agreed response time, day or night, every day of the year.
  • Full site check. External perimeter first, then internal sweep where safe, identifying the cause of activation.
  • Making the site secure. Where there has been a break-in, we secure the premises and remain on site until a boarding-up contractor or your representative arrives.
  • Emergency services liaison. Police, fire and ambulance are met and briefed on site by our officer.
  • Written report. Every call-out produces a report covering time of attendance, findings and action taken.
02

The Case for Outsourcing It

  • Lone worker liability. Sending an employee to an unknown situation alone at night creates a genuine duty-of-care exposure under health and safety law. Most businesses have never assessed this properly.
  • Trained assessment. Our officers know how to approach a potentially occupied building, what to preserve as evidence and when to withdraw and call police.
  • Staff wellbeing and retention. Repeated night call-outs wear people down. Removing them is one of the cheapest morale improvements available.
  • Insurance conditions. Many policies require a nominated keyholder able to attend within a set time. A professional service satisfies that; a manager on holiday does not.

How Response Works in Practice

  • Response times are agreed in advance based on your location and stated in the contract. We quote what we can actually achieve, not a marketing figure.
  • You nominate escalation contacts. We tell you what happened — we don't wake you for a false activation unless you ask us to.
  • Where activations are frequent, we report on the pattern. Often the real fix is a faulty sensor or a door that doesn't seat properly, and identifying that saves you more than the service costs.
  • Keys can be collected and returned at contract start and end, with signed records both ways.
Common Questions

Alarm Response & Keyholding — Questions We Get Asked

It depends on the distance from our nearest available officer, and it is agreed and written into the contract. Be sceptical of any provider quoting a flat response time nationwide without seeing your address.

Keys are held in a secure key management system, unlabelled and cross-referenced by code only. Someone gaining access to the keys learns nothing about which premises they open.

Keyholding is a fixed monthly fee. Attendance is usually charged per call-out, which keeps the standing cost low. Both are stated clearly up front — there are no surprise charges.

We secure the scene, call police, preserve evidence where possible, and stay on site until the premises are made secure. You get a full written report the same day.
